In some ways a beginning is just The Other End

The Other End – Far From Home

As debuts go this is pretty special. As new songs go, this is pretty special. We love it here at SWIT when we get in on the ground floor (so to speak) with a new band. This elevator is definitely going through the glass ceiling. “Far From Home” by The Other End is a brooding, lovelorn hymn to separation and loss. The sparse, echoing landscape of the song is haunted by one of the finest vocal performances I’ve heard of late. Set spines to tingle.

The Other End are Alex and Ida from Bergen, Norway. Their debut EP (which is suffused with the same brilliance as “Far From Home”) is out on vinyl, CD and streaming March 16th.
