Honey Harper – Secret

North of normal, just south of strange, that’s where you’ll find Honey Harper. This is “Secret” from new EP “Universal Country” (Arbutus Records). This a breath-taking indie folk/country song, the steel guitar is beautiful and the vocals are suffused with longing. It puts me in mind of Bob Dylan circa “Lay Lady Lay”. Song of the year? Quite possibly.
