Here’s the new song from Derry’s The Barbiturates. Like an aural fucking postcard from 1971 – “No Pity” is a swaggering blues rockin’ psyched-up melee that messes with your head, coils itself around you like a bad dream, stomps into view only to stomp all over you….Lead Barb, The grateful mistake, told us a wee while back that ” I want to make music like his [Irving Welsh} books……..raw edgy nasty beautiful observational.” Well, kneel down and praise the Lord for I think we can all agree they do that, do that, do that and when this kicks into overdrive at around 1.52 well….it really is TRANSCENDENTAL.
