Another week, another first for SWIT – yes I’m talking about the fact that someone actually got one of Gerry’s jokes- step forward HACHIKU – yes, she even said “Ha Ha”. Wow. Meanwhile, Tom lost the run of himself and inspired by Sale Gosse he’s been cursing like a trooper morning, noon and night. Fucking hell, isn’t it? And we had our first LP premiere too and it goes on and on (much like myself). It was postively Mediterranean but now it’s been pissing down for 12 hours and I’m going to have to use a canoe to get home. Thoroughly miserable I’m feeling, so I’d be lost without these here 15 best tunes of the week – check out Garbo, HACHIKU, Lia Pamina, Laura Sauvage, Ya Tosiba, Fireflies (Marta del Grandi & Cecilia Valagussa), Rahm, Portobello Sound, owtn, Invisible Harvey, Blak Saagan, Simen Mitlid, Kala Brisella, A CASA! and The Age of Colored Lizards!

My grandfather owns a large peach farm, we eat what we can and what we can’t we can. Speaking of peaches here’s a peach of a Live performance from the perfectly cyclindrical CAN!.
“DIA! This song is just a kick in the face and represents the three of us quite well. Thank god Randa wrote cool lyrics because I initially just yelled “fuck you” all the time.”
Yes! It’s our interview with the filthy-mouthed, hard drinking and ass kicking Iggy Pop lovers – Sale Gosse!. Their new ep is waxing my lemons!
SWIT’s Long Player Of The Week: It’s our premiere of “Superfetish” by Melt Mountain on Inner Ear Records – still streaming exclusively on SWIT until the 29th of May.
The songs are influenced by urban culture and daily life with all the messiness that entails. They navigate the reclusive mind and the misunderstood personality (tell me about it!). In some ways the record is a stream of consciousness, both musically and lyrically, but with a core of great tunes and some super playing to experiment around. Inner Ear have another diamond in the rough. Listen here.
Speaking of Inner Ear Records and we were here is a magnificent label compilation the folks there did for us, we filled in the blanks and did a bit of colouring in – check 20+ top notch Greek indie tunes have a listen now – you won’t regret it!
SWIT Swoons in search of tunes has excavated some ruins and uncovered this classic interview with Belly Belt. Amongst other things they tell us their favourite new band is Girl Pusher. This is modern history friends. Time to SWIT SWOT.Check out our CLASSIC SWIT INTERVIEW!
La Galleria De La Switeux has seen some amazing pieces since it opened its virtual doors (with it’s large round iron virtual door handle) back in the 1400s but this has to rank as one of its finest works. It’s by Dani Fazekas aka Szarkulabícc – genius hip-hop/beat maker and also amazing artist. Thanks for sharing this Dani – It’s superb. Interview coming soon too!
That’s all folks, probably our busiest week to date, really enjoyed it, hope you did too. We’ll be back after the deeply non commercial, experimental break.
